Underlayment Features:

• The Underlayment sold by Pond & Fountain World is 7 ounces to the yard - thicker than many sold online.
• Underlayment is a geotextile material used to protect the liner from roots and rocks.
• Underlayment also deters burrowing animals from chewing holes in your liner.
• Underlayment can be a useful padding on top of your liner when laying very large or sharp stones.
• Pond & Fountain World Underlayment is resistant to commonly encountered soil chemicals, mildew, insects and rodents.
• Underlayment is actually designed as a soil stabilization material. This helps retain your excavation's shape overtime, reducing sidewalls from caving in and supporting them under the weight of boulders. It also helps keep liner from over-stretching due to ground-settling. 
• Sand, newspaper/cardboard, carpet, carpet padding, and many of the other old "hobbiest" products & methods to protect liner and the excavation in general are nowhere near as effective as this engineered, geotextile stabilization/padding product. The minimal cost of underlayment is clearly a worthwhile investment.

Your complete happiness is very important to us at Pond & Fountain World. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchases within ten days of receipt of your products, you may return your purchases to us for a refund or exchange. Shipping on the original order is non-refundable.

Pond & Fountain World will handle warranty claims for most products purchased from us "In-House", so you do not have to deal with the manufacturer.

All warranties are limited to our choice of replacement or refund of the cost of that particular product, and excludes any consequential expenses that may have occurred as a result of the defective product.

How to return merchandise:

Within ten days of receipt of your products, Simply call 1-502-245-8575 during these hours (Mon-Sat, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST), and a customer service representative will assist you. We will gather some basic information from you and issue a return number. Merchandise should be placed back into its original packaging for return shipment.

All returned products must be clean, include all parts and returned in original boxes for refunds to be given. If returned used, the product must be clean and in good working condition. Cords must be intact. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee on some products and under certain circumstances. The average restocking fee, when there is one assessed, is 10-15%.

Unused portions of bulk items (such as pond liner, underlayment, tubing/hose, etc.) can not be returned for any reason.  Please refer to our complete Return Policy section for more details.
