Algae is by far the most common problem for pond owners. Often pond owners try to rake or pull the algae from their ponds only to have it come back in a few days. Chemical control is the best way to control algae. Algae controls come in both liquid and granular form. Liquid products should be used when the algae is floating on the surface or in shallow water (up to 3' - 4' deep). Granular control should be used in deeper water and for bottom growing algae and chara.

CUTRINE PLUS LIQUID is a chelated copper algaecide that stays active and is safer to use than copper sulfate. Use liquid Cutrine for surface or suspended algae. Dosage ranges: 1.8 to 3.6 gallons per acre. No water restrictions. Apply by sprayer to surface using one quart with two gallons of water.  For best results use activator  with Cutrine. 

Stocktrine is diluted algaecide for use in garden pools, stock tanks and other small bodies of water where fish are not present.
